Dyslexi Seminars in Tuam Education Centre

Rosaleen Durkin will host two seminars titled “Practical strategies for dealing with dyslexia in children in educational/ home environments” in Tuam Education Centre, Tuam, Co. Galway.

The first seminar will take place on Wednesday the 30th of March at 19:00 and is targeted at Primary School Teachers ONLY. Please feel free to contact Tuam Education Centre if you are an SNA who would like to attend a similar seminar in the future.

The second seminar will take place on Wednesday the 6th of April at 19:00 and is tageted at Parents Only.

N.B.: Please note that the content of these seminars is designed specifically to address the specific needs and challenges of each particular group – i.e. parents and teachers. For example, working one-to-one with a child at home is very different to working in a classroom environment with 30 children.

Dyslexia Talk in Thurles

ImaginationGYM Photography Competition Results 2010

There were litterally thousands of entries for this years ImaginationGYM Photography Competition. The standard was incredibly high this year so we don’t envy the difficult task that lies ahead for the judges.

The winners of the ImaginationGYM Photography Competition 2010 will be announced on Monday the 11th of April at 10:00 at the Gallery of Photography, Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

Winners will be notified in advance and will be invited to attend the award ceremony that will take place afterwards in the Gallery of Photography.

Seachtain na Gaeilge – ImaginationGYM Workshops

ImaginationGYM® are  running workshops for children during Seachtain na Gaeilge 2011 in schools, libraries and community centres throughout the country.

The ImaginationGYM® workshop is a fun and interactive way to help children access their natural creativity, and artistic talent. It is themed around the first audio program in the series titled An Choill Draíochta (The Enchanted Forest). These one-hour workshops are specially designed for groups of children (large and small) aged 7-12 years.
